This Cookie Policy explains how ClaimLex Technologies uses cookies and similar technologies on the ClaimLex platform. It should be read with our Privacy Policy.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. "Similar technologies" include local storage, session storage, and pixels. They help a site function, remember your preferences, keep you signed in, and understand how the site is used.

2. Categories of cookies we use

a. Strictly necessary (always on). Required for the Platform to work — authentication and session management (keeping you securely logged in), security and abuse-prevention (device recognition, rate limiting), and load balancing. The Platform cannot function without these, so they are not subject to consent.

b. Functional / preference. Remember your choices — reading preferences (font, size, day/night mode), workspace layout (rail width), dismissed tips, and language. These improve your experience but are not strictly essential.

c. Analytics / performance. Help us understand usage so we can improve the Platform. We use Google Analytics 4, which sets cookies to measure page views, sessions, and feature usage in an aggregated form. We configure analytics with privacy-preserving settings where feasible.

We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not sell your data.

3. Third-party cookies

Some cookies are set by third parties who provide services to us — principally Google Analytics (analytics) and our payment processor Razorpay (only during checkout, for secure payment and fraud prevention). These providers process data under their own privacy terms.

4. Managing cookies

• Browser controls. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from logging in and using the Platform.
• Analytics opt-out. You can opt out of Google Analytics using Google's browser add-on, or by declining non-essential cookies where a consent control is presented.
• Do Not Track. We honour privacy-preserving defaults and decline non-essential cookies where you signal a preference to that effect.

5. Retention

Session cookies expire when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain for a defined period (typically up to the duration needed for authentication or, for analytics, as set by the provider) unless you delete them earlier.

6. Changes

We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in technology or law. The "Last Updated" date will change accordingly.
